We have created this place gradually over the years, following our lives rather than a plan. Art, nature, music, books, plants and the need for space and silence have all become part of it.

My sculpture studio is here on the property, where I work mainly with marble and ceramics. Sculpture has been at the centre of my life for many years, but music is also an important part of it. I play piano, hang, guitar and trumpet, and you will find different musical instruments around the property.

Ilaria teaches philosophy and mindfulness and is also a writer. She loves the plants and herbs that grow naturally around us, collecting wild and medicinal herbs and using them in cooking and in everyday life.

One of the reasons she loves living here is the silence. It gives her the space to write, read and think. The woods, the changing seasons and the landscape are part of her everyday life and often part of her inspiration.

In different ways, we both need creativity, nature and solitude, which is probably why we understand very well that people can come here looking for very different things.

We enjoy meeting people from other countries, cultures and backgrounds, and over the years we have naturally welcomed artists, students, travellers and friends. We like conversations, exchanging ideas and sharing something of our world when it happens spontaneously.

But we also deeply respect the pleasure of being left alone.

As hosts, we try to be available without being intrusive. We live on the property, so if you need practical help, advice about the area or simply feel like having a coffee and talking, we are nearby. At the same time, your accommodation is your own space and your privacy and independence are fully respected.

If you are curious, you may discover the sculpture studio, try working with stone when possible, play one of the instruments, learn something about the plants growing around the property, cook with seasonal herbs, or simply share a meal or a conversation with us.

None of this is expected.

You can just as easily spend your time completely independently: working, writing, reading, walking, exploring Tuscany, going to the sea or the mountains, or simply enjoying the silence.

Some people enjoy connecting. Others come precisely because they want space, nature and time to themselves. Both are equally welcome.

Perhaps that is the simplest way to describe how we like to host: we are here when you need us, and we are equally happy to leave you to enjoy this little corner of Tuscany entirely in your own ***** gradually created this place around our lives, our work and the things we love: art, nature, music, plants, philosophy and a slower, more conscious way of living.
