Hello there,
I'm Samir Calixto, a Brazilian born from Italian/ Portuguese descent contemporary dance choreographer who, after many years living in The Netherlands and travelling around the world, has found his own little spot in the city of Catania in Sicily. However, as I still create works around I am relocating again to The Netherlands - hence making my Sicilian apartment available for rental. Like that I can continue to experience different cultures and all that which fascinates me so much: nature, culture, music, architecture and all forms of beauty. I believe that a home is a person's temple, it reflects his/her way of seeing the world as well as the place where energies can be restored. I hope this Sicilian home can be your haven for a while.

We spent six months here and had an amazing time!
The flat really captures the sicilian spirit in a modern way - we loved the well equipped kitchen, the two balconies and the beautiful tiles.
Part of the sicilian spirit might also be some troubles with electricity but the host manages this amazingly and gets back to you very quickly should you need any help.
The location is perfect to get to the city centre by foot.
We are already dreaming of coming back!
Neighborhood
It‘s not really a touristy part of the city but at the same time extremely close to all the major sights.
It feels really safe but can be a bit loud (as can be Catania in general)
