I had a very pleasant stay. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and exactly as described, and great host, responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with.

The neighborhood was also excellent. There were plenty of shops, cafés, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, and public transport was very convenient. Being close to Andrássy Avenue and the M1 metro made it easy to get around Budapest while still staying in a quieter residential area.

I would definitely recommend the area, especially for anyone who wants to be close to the centre without staying right in the busiest tourist streets.

We enjoyed a great 3-week stay in this apartment. The space perfectly suited our family of four. The location made it easy to explore the city by foot and take public transport for day trips. Daniel was a great host and Anna was an accomodating and welcoming property manager.

Quiet, residential street, very close to an arterial boulevard with excellent access to the center of town and City Park. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and playgrounds are all very accessible.

Very cozy, spacious and in a great location, less than a minute from the metro stop and less than 10 minutes by walking to Westend Shopping Mall. The landlord was always helpful and made everything go smoothly.

Really calm and safe. Not many shops or restaurants around, but they are not very far away.

Pros -
1. Great location. Steps away from the subway and Andrássy Avenue. A grocery store was on the corner as well.
2. Spacious unit
3. Lovely property manager

Cons -
1. Check In - Right before we were to take possession of the unit, someone stole the lockbox. As a result, the owner decided to have the locks changed (smart) and to have a keyless entry system installed. Unfortunately, this was to take place during our stay. Our group was arriving at different times so it took significant rearrangement of our schedules to be able to hand over the one set of keys.

It took multiple phone calls and texts to set up a check in time. The owner refused to assist, instead directing me via text to go through his property manager. She had wanted me to meet her at her home to pick up the keys and I did not want to do that.

2. Cleanliness -
Again, this was another instance of timing. It should not be an issue for others.

Apparently the prior guests left all of their belongings in the unit (weird right?) so the cleaning person decided that it was too difficult to clean it. When the property manager and I met, she let me know what took place and proceeded to bag up all of their belongings and then do a cursory cleaning.

The bathroom in the unit had an issue with mold. I scrubbed the areas that I could reach and washed the shower curtains multiple times in order to alleviate the smell. I am overly sensitive to the smell of mold while my friends did not notice it, so it may not be an issue for you. The owner is aware of the problem and is investigating how to resolve it.

2. Check out process -
The property manager was out of town so we needed to physically hand over the keys to someone. This required scheduling a meeting time with a neighbor.

Neighborhood
Definitely an area where locals still live. Lots of people out and about, walking their dogs and so forth. It felt safe when we were out in the immediate area.
