It was useful to have a signed contract facilitated by the platform, this was a smooth process. Paying through the platform felt safe and secure. I frequently used the messaging function to discuss matters with my host and to include pictures when needed. We also changed the check-out date, which worked swiftly. Lastly, the insurance included in the Flatio fee is expensive, but worth it, it eased my worries and contributed to a comfortable stay.

Everything was good, and the security provided by the service is a great thing to have. However, messaging on the website can be a bit clunky. I think it would be very useful to have an app to be able to message the owner on the go.

When a tenant enters the flatio site, it is very difficult to find the booking process. 2 things are most important when someone first enters. 1. Where am I traveling, 2. When and how long am I staying, what are the options. So, just like on booking.com, the tenant should immediately encounter the booking options with the calendar.

The best part about Faltio is that we were able to find a reasonably priced flat — much better value than many other platforms. The only downside is that the booking process is a bit more complex because it involves a full rental contract, unlike simpler sites like Booking.com. Still, it’s worth it if you’re looking for affordable long-term stays and don’t mind a bit of extra paperwork.

I had a few technical issues during booking but the support staff were truly amazing. I contacted them via whatsapp and they replied within minutes to help me solve my issue. Its also nice to have a formal lease to sign, which gives both tenants and owners legal piece of mind.
